Museum café

In the museum café you can enjoy a drink or a snack at any time before or after your museum visit.

Museum shop

We sell fresh fruits and vegetables from our own garden as well as jars of jam, made from the fruits of our garden and honey from our beehives. We also have a great assortment of books, new or second hand, about the Westland and its horticulture.

Terraces

As soon as the weather permits, we open our terraces which you can use when visiting our café. Whenever you cycle or walk by, you ‘ll be welcome to enjoy our drinks and snacks.

Group’s room ‘the Hooiberg’

If you want to organize a party or a meeting, you can hire the attractive Hooiberg. Different lay outs are possible and we are able to host up to 80 people. Be it a lunch, a birthday party, a presentation or a meeting, the room can be equipped to your wishes. Sound equipment is standard and other facilities such as a viewing screen or a flip chart can be delivered. Please ask for catering possibilities.

Education room

An education room, used for school classes or meetings of trainings is situated on the first floor. We can receive up to 40 people here, dependant of the setting of tables and chairs. Viewing screen and flip chart are standard here.

Playroom

Are you between 5 and 12 years old? Then you can discover all sorts of things about horticulture in the Westland in our Play Attic. How high can you load the barge and still pass under the bridge? How do vegetables and fruits grow in a greenhouse? Who can collect the most vegetables in the wheelbarrow? And where are all the items from the greenhouse eventually sold?Another new feature is an exciting scavenger hunt that takes you through the museum and the historic garden. Gardener Toon has accidentally locked himself in his greenhouse. Can you find the numbers for the code in the museum and the garden to free Gardener Toon? If you succeed, you will receive a small surprise.
